Bardur Haberg, lyrics Bardur Haberg and James Olsen, music Mind the Gap Torshavn, Faroe Islands
Bardur Haberg and James Olsen who live in Toshavn in the small country of Faroe Islands, have played live and in studios for several years. Bardur, who works as an engineer at a local TV station, has composed many jingles for the station. While taking the subway in London, over the loud speakers he heard a warning for all passengers to “mind the gap.” The phrase struck him as a great title for a potential UK hit song. Upon returning to Toshavn, he collaborated with James Olsen on the music. Their goal is to one day make songwriting and production their primary income. Another Haberg song, The Last Goodbye, was a Finalist in the 2003 Unisong Contest.
