Greg Sczebel Here To Stay Salmon Arm, British Columbia, Canada
This red-headed soul singer/songwriter/musician Greg Sczebel (pronounced seh-bell), is the award winner of such prestigious honors as 2005 Juno Award for Contemporary Christian/Gospel Album of the Year, as well as nominations for a Canadian Urban Music Award, four Canadian Gospel Music Association awards of which he won two – Male Vocalist of the Year and Rap/Hip Hop/Dance Song of the Year – and an Okanagan Musician Award for Favorite Gospel Artist. He has also been lauded as the Best Emerging Artist in 2003 by VIBE Gospel Music, regional winner of the Gospel Music Association Song Competition in the same year, and was the winner in several talent searches including David Foster’s “Stars on Stage.” Greg started writing music in his early teens on piano and recorded his first demo in high school, just two years ago. Here To Stay was written by Greg to remind him of his values and beliefs as he started to gain recognition. His Grand Prize winning song was featured on an episode of UPN’s Kevin Hill starring Taye Diggs. Greg’s debut album, Here To Stay, was released in Canada to Christian retailers and became the best selling album released by an independent artist in 2004.
